About Petite Magnolia
Natasha
This is me, a houseful of craziness with two sons that are growing like mad and will soon be taller than me, and a partner who drives diggers in our own contracting business. Surrounded by diggers, tractors and conversations about all the ways to shift dirt, I always threatened that I needed by own space. Along the way that has resulted in the creation of my own photography studio, Petite Magnolia, with a passion to capture and create beautiful pieces of art for families to enjoy.
Ever since I can remember photographs have always fascinated me. It used to drive my mum crazy as I was always pulling out the photo albums and mixing everything up.
I loved how the smallest fraction of time could be captured in a photograph. There is nothing more meaningful than looking through a family’s photographs, the unfolding of their stories and all the moments told in those images. This love for photographs is what lead me to my first camera, given to me by my Great Uncle for a Christmas present.
As a mum, I realise just how important those fleeting moments of magic are. Looking back at the photographs of my sons, I realise how easy it is to forget all the tiny details in the rush of everyday life. Then as tiny babies and now as my oldest enters his teens (and hoping his feet will stop growing soon). The importantance of capturing these moments has lead me to discover my passion for photographing newborns and children, creating gorgeous pieces of art that can be treasured and passed down.
I would be honoured to capture these magical moments for you, that can be treasured by your children and for generations to come.
Petite Magnolia
What’s in the name?
Petite - A reminder to treasure all the small things and never underestimate how much they mean. The fleeting moments, snuggles from a child, their tiny fingers and toes, or the way the light softly falls across their face.
Magnolia - My favorite flower is one of the first trees to flower in late winter/spring. Even during the harshest of winters, a magnolia flower is the first sign that reminds me that new things are coming, a turn of the season and the light after the storms.
